His voice sounded rather shaky as he said, “I believe we have us a
murder here, Cass. Do you want to come to the scene or do you
want us to bring the photos to your office later today? We are at
1415 Weston Drive.”
“I will come to the scene, Duncan,” she said, hesitating before
asking, “He finally did it, didn’t he? He finally killed her? Have
you called the coroner yet?”
“We don’t have a body for them, Cass. We believe he took her out
of here in a blanket about an hour ago.”
“Is there a chance she isn’t dead?”
“I don’t see any way she could be alive, with the amount of blood
here at the scene.” he replied.
