Hello from the West Texas Headquarters of The Vast Right Wing Conspiratorial Xenophobic Gun Clinging Jingoistic Anti-Globalistic Race Baiting Typical White Guys. Does that about cover the names given to Conservative Americans by Hillary Clinton and Barack Hussein Obama.
I must tell you all that it is almost next to impossible to dodge sniper fire when you are so busy clinging to your firearms with one hand and clinging to your bible with the other. I just barely made it back from lunch today, where I had perhaps the best and largest store bought hamburger on the planet.
News Flash! Bruce Springsteen (The Boss) has endorsed Barack Hussein Obama. Now this tells me a couple of things. First, Springsteen hasn’t a clue regarding the needs of the citizens of this country; Nor does he have a clue about foreign policy; Nor is he very well versed in economics; and finally, “The Boss” must have a pretty short memory as in 2000 he endorsed Al Gore and in 2004 he endorsed John “Buckethead” Kerry. Someone should perhaps make “The Boss” aware of the fact that in the past two Presidential elections he has backed THE LOSERS.
A bit of a sad note this week. Ollie Johnston died at age 95. Mr. Johnston was an animator for Walt Disney from 1935 - 1978 (Now for those of you who reside in The People’s Republic of San Francisco, that would be 43 years). Some of the films on which he contributed were: Fantasia; Bambi; Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs; Peter Pan; Lady and the Tramp; The Jungle Book; Alice In wonderland; Pinocchio; Sleeping Beauty; and Cinderella. Not a bad resume. Incidentally, Fantasia (1940) is one of my favorite all time movies. Excellent music and exceptional animation.
The Democratic Debate starring Hillary Clinton and Barack Hussein Obama. Now keep in mind I could only watch a little bit of this fiasco as I have absolutely no intention of making myself ill. What little I watched and some of the audio to which I listened this morning on talk radio confirmed something which I had already suspected about Barack Hussein Obama and that is: IF HE DOESN’T HAVE A SCRIPT OR A TELE-PROMPTER, HE IS NOT ANY MORE ARTICULATE OR INFORMED THAN MOST AVERAGE AMERICANS. Now I don’t care much for most news moderators and I sure don’t have a very high opinion of Charles Gibson or George Stephanopoulos but I will give them credit for finally putting this new “Rock Star” on the grill and roasting his backside. He showed that when asked a tough question, or one that was not so tough for that matter, he stammered and gave answers which were unclear and made him appear reasonably uninformed. Of course Hillary was not thrown by these questions as she already had lies made up which covered any eventuality. And Obama came across as a bit of a liar himself. What a surprise to the liberals/socialists. And don’t get me wrong, I’m sure that by this time next week Charles Gibson and George Stephanopoulos will return to their normal mode of typical mainstream media mutts.
I listened to some program earlier in the week on I believe one of the afternoon talk shows and listened to a black caller ADMIT that he was supporting Barack Hussein Obama BECAUSE OBAMA WAS BLACK. Now what do you suppose would have been the response by the left wing socialists had some caller called in and said that he/she was NOT going to support Obama because he was black? Don’t you imagine that Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton would have called in an Al Qaeda strike on that person. Perfectly all right to be a racist as long as you are racist for all the right reasons, huh? But I just wish someone would please show me the difference in that reasoning.
OK. Here is the test. Which one of the following shows the greater level of STUPIDITY?
A) Teens filming themselves doing incredibly stupid and criminal acts AND showing it on
the Internet and National TV news shows.
B) Gang Bangers filming themselves doing incredibly stupid and criminal acts AND showing it on
the Internet and National TV news shows.
C) Hillary Clinton lying about almost everything involving events of which there are filmed records
which end up on the Internet and National TV news shows.
D) Barack Hussein Obama making stupid statements, many of which are lies, in a private setting
which is being taped and later end up on the Internet and National TV news shows.
E) Idiotic Liberals/Democrats/Socialists who will in good conscience still vote for Hillary or Obama.
F) Any of the above.
A tough choice. This test is damn near impossible to fail. But I feel sure that there are some radical left wing mutts who will do exactly that.
Earlier this week I read an editorial in the San Angelo (Sub) Standard Times. This article claimed without reservation that “Bi-lingual people are smarter than those who just speak one language.” This opinion evidently was supported by, now get ready for this, “The European Union’s New Framework Strategy For Multilingualism.” Well now, how can you argue with that? Who was the article’s author, you ask? None other than Jose de la Isla, that’s who. Of course I must admit that I had never heard of this mutt either prior to or subsequent to his article. Do you suppose I could get an editorial article printed if I wrote that actually, bi-lingual people are a bit on the slow side and that only white guys over 50 were fit to be in charge of anything? Probably not, AND I don’t imagine that the European Union has any sort of organization which would back me up.
I caught the tail end of some TV news item in which they were discussing some new liberal/socialist group which had as their top people; David Brock; Paul Begalla; and George Soros. Sounds to me like a board meeting which should be paid a visit by Isadore Fist and Don Vito Corleone.
Oh No! After the election, reports have it that Katy Couric will be leaving CBS Evening News. I guess their dozen of so viewers will be heart broken. Let’s just hope that MSNBC doesn’t think about replacing Chris Matthews, or another dozen or so viewers will be devastated.
I was listening to Laura Ingraham this morning and she played an audio clip from “The View” when no less an authority on religion than Joy Behar had some suggestions which would help modernize the Catholic Church. Now I know that not everyone out there attends the Catholic Church but you have to be pretty uninformed not to appreciate the man who is the current leader of this religious congregation which numbers over one billion people world wide. Pope Benedict, I believe is a good man and he is not only bi-lingual, he speaks six languages fluently. He is also very PRO-AMERICAN. I watched him speak at the White House yesterday and really liked what he had to say about freedom and personal responsibility. I also was pleased that he ended with, “God Bless America”. A little different from Reverend Jeremiah Wright’s tirade of “God Damn America.” Now in spite of how he is characterized by Bill Maher, I choose to place Pope Benedict in much higher regard than Maher, who is no more than a socialist, liberal hack. I just wonder if Maher has the balls to go on his idiotic HBO program and dedicate one whole show to fat mouthing Muslims and the Islamic Religion, I mean after all haven’t we been told that it is “A Religion Of Peace”?
Earlier this week, I was notified by a retired law enforcement of the death of U.S. Army Sergeant Tim Smith who lost his life in Iraq. Tim is the son-in-law of Los Angeles Police Robbery Homicide Detective Bret Richards. Our prayers go out to the family of Sergeant Smith.
I just received an e-mail from Iraq, from GySgt James Walker. It really makes my day to hear from these brave men who are serving their country in some really dangerous areas. GySgt Walker is from Alabama and is a big football fan. Isn’t that a surprise? Someone from Alabama being a football fan.
Among some other stuff I sent him some NFL Draft magazines which is about the only thing out now football wise. But along about mid-June the 2008 college football magazines will start to hit the stands and I am going to get a copy of each and send it to those Marines. THEN, on JULY 1ST, “Dave Campbell’s Texas Football” hits the news stands. THAT is the official start of football season in my books. Remember, in most of the United States there are four seasons: Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter. In Texas there are only two seasons; Hunting(Which is divided into Deer,Elk & Quail) and Football and they overlap.
However, last week end a friend who is a retired Houston Police Lieutenant and I went to a college track meet at the stadium at Angelo State University. I had forgotten how much fun a really good track meet can be. The meet was won big time by the Angelo State University Rams. This week end, another friend, who is a retired coach, and I will be attending the High School 4A Regional Track Meet at the ASU stadium. This is to determine which Texas high school track athletes will qualify for the State Track Meet in Austin, either later this month or in May.
A quick word about Ex-President Jimmy Carter. Jimmy Carter was not only one of the worst Presidents this country has ever had, he is without a doubt the worst Ex-President in my lifetime. Putting a wreath on the grave of Yasser Arafat? I’d like to put something on Arafat’s grave all right, but it damn sure won’t pass for flowers. Now as if this were not enough, this goofy Ex-President is preparing to meet with Hamas leaders in Syria. He has been requested NOT to do this by the White House and by Congress. I guess this dip is shooting for another Nobel Prize.
I listened to Mahmoud Ahmadinejad making a speech saying that if Israel should attack Iran that Iran would retaliate and level Israel. Someone really should make this rat faced little mutt aware of the formula which might just take precedence over Einstein’s Theory of Relativity and this theory is simply this: Sand + Heat = Glass. Think about it. I seriously believe that if it becomes necessary for Israel to attack Iran that when it is over, Iran will look like a Wal-Mart parking lot at 2:00 A.M. (Now for those of you residing in the Freedom Loving Worker’s Republic of Massachusetts that is flat and empty.)
The past couple of days several local channels and national news channels have been given interviews by some of the adult women who are residents of the “Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints”( FLDS) compound. These women all dress alike, of course. They all seem to have a blank far away look in their eyes and all speak in a monotone. All of them have said that their lives at the compound are excellent. BUT when asked a specific question regarding multiple marriages they normally reply, “We are not here to discuss that.” When asked if there are girls as young as 14 who are pregnant by older men, they usually answer, “It’s not about that, it’s about the children.” One of the women was not present during the raid. She said that she was, “Keeping an appointment in Arizona.” I have seen several interviews with women who at one time have escaped from one of these compounds and they tell quite a different story. Today was the first day of hearings in front of a District Judge regarding custody of the children.
Now I don’t want to act like I am rubbing it in, but this past week, guess who has been performing at a couple of night spots right here in San Angelo, Texas? Willie Nelson? Nope, he was here a couple of weeks ago. George Straight? Nope not in quite a while. The Dixie Chicks? Not hardly. All right I have kept you in suspense long enough. It is none other than: “Chingy” and “Baby Bash”. Never heard of ‘em you say? Well I guess that you’ve never heard of Li’l Kim, or Li’l Bow Wow, or Li’l Wayne, or T-Pain, or T-Murder either. The next thing you will try and convince me that you are not all huge fans of Snoop Dog and P-Diddy. I guess the next thing you will try to do is convince me that you are not all fans of the “Hip-Hop/Rap Culture”.

Why is Sean Hannity on this list you ask? In my opinion, Sean Hannity is a 100% phony. It always gripes me when I hear someone speak of themselves in the third person. (Now for those of you who are residents of San Francisco, I will give you an example.) Earlier this week I was listening momentarily to the Sean Hannity talk radio show as he had promised to play an audio clip which I had not heard. During a period of time prior to the alleged clip, Hannity began his usual phony humility act and during this the said, ” Why do they always want to pick on poor little ol’ Sean Hannity?” Well needless to say I didn’t stick around for the answer because I already knew it. Because Sean Hannity is an overblown whining phony who is only interested in selling his own book.

Another thing which is a bit troubling to me. I always hear Sean Hannity and especially Bill O’Reilly refer to “Kool Aid Drinkers”. Now I know the type of people to whom this criticism is directed, but why not just call them Liberal Mutts, Liberal Jerks; Socialist SOB’s; Radical Marxists? But no, they choose to call them “Kool Aid Drinkers”. I’m sure that there is something I am missing but why not call a Mutt a Mutt?

I was just notified yesterday that a young man from San Angelo just got recalled by the Marine Corps and is to report to Kansas City in May. His name is Brandon Robinson and I became aware of him several years ago when I ran into his aunt at the post office. She and a bunch of ladies were ahead of me in line and they had multiple large boxes which they were sending to Iraq. This was in the winter and these ladies had made a bunch of blankets which they were sending to Brandon and the men in his outfit. They had one for everyone. They offered to let me go ahead of them but I declined and helped them load up their stuff and got Brandon’s name and mailing address.
My wife and I sent hem a couple of boxes of goodies and when he came home from Iraq he came by our house on his 21st birthday and spent the afternoon with us. He is a really nice young man. Since it was his birthday I thought it would be nice to give him a birthday gift. I had ordered some hunting knives and pocket knives for our grandsons and I gave one of the Smith and Wesson S.W.A.T. knives to Brandon. He was very appreciative. I have received several e-mails from him since he got out of the USMC and went to work here in San Angelo. He told me that he was interested in going back to school and eventually going into law enforcement. He does no know whether he will be returning to Iraq or not but I am going to add him to our list. This is a fine young man.

Well it’s about time to check the grounds for snipers. Honestly, I am so bitter that times are so bad that I just cannot help but cling to my firearms. Of course that is probably due to the fact that I am reacting like a “Typical White Guy”.

Better go now and decide which firearms I want to cling to this evening. Should it be a revolver? No the semi-automatic? No the double barrel? No, the pump? No, the bolt action?

I am just so confused.
