Actually, I’m a hard right conservative constitutionalist. I love the zeal of our troops to protect freedom! I love America! I supported America, and still support every military person for giving their ALL. What you’re not understanding is that the war on Iraq was based on lies, and we’re still there killing Iraqis and getting our people killed and maimed daily. It’s ludicrous, and because this Ret.General mentioned the direct cause of extended tours in Iraq as being the fault of Clinton’s minimized military funding, I think it best to comment also on the direct cause and fault of our troops being in Iraq in the first place! I’m a republican. I voted republican the last 4 times. So dear Administrator, don’t be so quick to pin labels on your readers because ‘our’ opinions don’t fit into your nice neat package.

Although I disagree with you completely, I will allow this post. In the first place this article is not about the War in Iraq, it is about the integrity of our Retired Military Officers who serve as analysts and liaisons to the media. Second, this is the type of response I expect from those on the left who live in an alternate reality similar the the Utopian world found on Star Treck.

ya know, I stopped reading. Anyone who believes we have a legitimate reason to be IN Iraq to begin with, is either a warmonger or lost in patriotic fairy land.
