Why do I like Duncan Hunter?  I guess the best way for me to start is to tell you a little about myself. My name is David Hill.  I am a Christian, a Husband, a Father, an American, and a Texan. Oh, I am a pretty good cook too. I also consider myself to be a Republican. To me, being a Republican isn’t about money. It’s about knowing right from wrong and believing in the way our founding fathers designed this country including strong moral values and faith in God.  If I were to sum myself up in one phrase, it would be “For God, Family, and Country”.  I live with my wife Melissa and our children out in the woods of East Texas. I consider myself politically active and I don’t mind voicing my opinion. Yes, I am one of those people who contact my representatives from City Council to the President and tell them what I think. I believe everybody should.

When it comes to my choice in Presidential Candidates, I look for someone who has the same beliefs as I do. Representative Duncan Hunter has demonstrated throughout his lifetime the qualities I look for in myself.  His strong moral character is a beacon of light in comparison to most of the other candidates and this is one of the most important things I look at. The massive assault on our countries values from the Liberal Left must be met with the strength and courage I see in Representative Hunter.  This strength and courage is a must if we want to keep the Left from stripping away everything that makes the United States of America the best in the world.

Many of the Candidates talk a good game but we can look at Representative Hunter’s past and see where he will stand in the future, his actions speak louder than any voice can speak.  Hunter’s stand on the issues demonstrates that he is a strong conservative and can lead this nation into a physically and fiscally secure future.  We are a country at war, not with another country but with a religious ideology that wants our way of life gone from the face of the Earth. I believe that Duncan Hunter will execute the roll of Commander and Chief with the wisdom and dignity required to carry us forward to a more peaceful world. This ideological war (not the war in Iraq) will go on for a very long time and we must prevail for our children’s and grandchildren’s sake and the phrase “I Give Up” is not in Duncan Hunter’s vocabulary.

I hope you will give a long hard look at Representative Duncan Hunter before casting your vote for President of the United States.

Sincerely,

David A Hill
