Morality and Intellectual Elitists Do Not Mix Well in Today’s Cultural Society! Gen. Paul Vallely

I want to thank General Vallely for allowing us to republish this letter. I am proud of the General and others like him who are not afraid to say what is on their mind.  In this world of political correctness, people are too worried about offending someone to speak clearly.  It is time for those of us who love our country to set aside the politically correct mentality and start speaking out against the atrocities being thrown at us from the Left.   David A Hill

Morality and Intellectual Elitists Do Not Mix Well in Today’s Cultural Society! by Gen. Paul Vallely

“One of the main reasons confronting the solution to problems that we face today personally and politically is almost entirely due to a lack of common sense, psychological impediments to a clear value and tradition system, clear thinking, lack of personal discipline and self-control or some combination of all these. We know it is not because of the lack of brain power in our society.

The fact is that many times the smartest and best educated (where are elitism seems to roost) in our society make things much worse. Intellectuals (those, of course with Graduate and Doctor’s degrees) have among the worst record on the moral issues of the past century. You can see them articulate their liberal views daily on television and radio interviews, and in their writings and teachings in our schools.

How many times have we heard today about our children and other offsprings being so bright and going off to the best schools and universities in the country or traveling abroad. We are proud when they go off to prestigious schools. There is certainly much preoccupation with this elite intellectual thrust placed upon our children mostly by parents.

What a message from a Marine

From Paul Vallely, Standupamericausa.com

This Marine seems to hit all the salient points......

Robert A. Hall is a Marine Vietnam veteran who served five terms in the Massachusetts state senate.

I'll be 63 soon. Except for one semester in college when jobs were scarce, and a six-month period when I was between jobs, but job-hunting every day, I've worked, hard, since I was 18. Despite some health challenges, I still put in 50-hour weeks, and haven't called in sick in seven or eight years. I make a good salary, but I didn't inherit my job or my income, and I worked to get where I am. Given the economy, there's no retirement in sight, and I'm tired. Very tired.

I'm tired of being told that I have to "spread the wealth around" to people who don't have my work ethic. I'm tired of being told the government will take the money I earned, by force if necessary, and give it to people too lazy or stupid to earn it.

Hillary Repeating Past Mistakes: The Ultimate - and Still Unforeseen - Dangers of a Palestinian State

By: Louis René Beres

Date: Wednesday, March 11 2009

In Washington, there has been little learned from lessons of the past.

On March 3, Hillary Clinton said that the Obama Administration will "vigorously pursue" the creation of a Palestinian state. Further, continued the Secretary of State, movement toward Palestinian independence now seems "inescapable."

But, for the United States "Palestine" would represent just another enemy state. Although fragmented by endless civil war, Fatah and Hamas would both seek closer ties to Iran. Very quickly, there would also be substantial collaborations with al-Qaeda - ties that are now already being fashioned in Hamas-controlled Gaza.

How soon we forget. On September 11th, celebrations were ecstatic all over Gaza and West Bank, in areas controlled by Hamas and Fatah. Today, nothing has changed. America, despite its consistently misplaced largesse, is still widely loathed in all Palestinian territories.

Funding Palestinian Terror by Thomas McInerney and Paul Vallely

Funding Palestinian terror

The United States plans to offer more than $900 million to help rebuild Gaza after Israel's offensive operation and to strengthen the Western-backed Palestinian Authority, U.S. officials said on Monday. The money, which requires U.S. congressional approval, will be distributed through the seemingly dysfunctional and inefficient United Nations and other bodies and not via the Radical Islamist Group   Hamas, which rules Gaza. Hamas seems to have a unique way to get to any money that comes into Gaza, doesn’t it?

Ever since the outgoing Kadima government ended Operation Cast Lead in Gaza on January 20, the Palestinians have steadily stepped-up their missile war against Israel. Over the weekend the IDF acknowledged that six weeks later, daily Palestinian missile barrages against Israel have returned to pre-Operation Cast Lead levels. Moreover, the IDF warned that over the past six weeks, Hamas and its sister terror groups have rebuilt their missile arsenals both through imports of Iranian arms from Egypt and through local production lines. They have also brought in fairly advanced anti-aircraft missiles capable of shooting down IAF helicopters.  On Monday morning, representatives from 80 countries and international organizations convened in Sharm el-Sheikh to pledge billions of dollars in aid to Hamas-controlled Gaza. The US, represented by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, pledged $900 million in assistance. WE DO NOT HAVE THE MONEY!
But for the United States, “Palestine” would represent just another enemy state. Although fragmented by endless civil war, Fatah and Hamas would both seek closer ties to Iran. Very quickly, there would also be substantial collaborations with al-Qaeda, ties that are now already being fashioned in Hamas-controlled Gaza.
Neither the United States nor Israel have direct contact with the Islamist Hamas movement which runs Gaza and remains formally committed to the destruction of the Jewish state. "The package is still shaping up," one official said, when asked for specifics over how the money would be spent and a breakdown of old and new funding. In December, the former Bush administration said it would give $85 million to the U.N. agency that provides aid to Palestinian refugees in the West Bank, Gaza, Jordan, Lebanon and Syria.

Mexico Spirals Into Chaos by Paul Vallely

By: Paul E. Vallely
A Justice Department report by the National Drug Intelligence Center (NDIC) says that Mexican drug gangs pose the biggest organized crime threat to the United States.

The report, the "National Drug Threat Assessment 2009," evaluates the threat posed by illegal drugs by examining availability, production and cultivation, transportation, distribution, and demand. State and local law enforcement agencies shared information for this report through personal interviews with the National Drug Intelligence Center.

Mexican drug trafficking organizations represent the greatest organized crime threat to the United States, says the report. They control drug distribution in most U.S. cities, and they are making strides in markets they do not yet control.
