All Texan's Must Act Now! M.P. Hill

To All Texans

If you love your state, love your country, and love being able to spend your money on what you are your family need rather than paying people to sit on the couch and watch TV, then read on.

Right now our Governor is leading the fight for each and every citizen in this great State of Texas to not end up paying half of their income in taxes due to the stimulus package.  He is inspiring others to follow him and to look closer at what the supposed stimulus package really is.  And he’s making it clear to the rest of the country what a governor is supposed to do—fight to protect his people, even from higher taxes.

However, our Senate is fighting against him on the unemployment portion of the stimulus funds.  They passed a bill to go around the wishes of Governor Perry and take those funds any way.  This bill is now in the House.  WE MUST CALL OUR REPRESENTATIVES NOW!!!

They need to know that we don’t want to take additional funds from the Fed that will lock us into higher taxes for the duration, long after the federal funds are gone.  They need to know that the people don’t want higher taxes in this state.  They need to know that we don’t want to join the rest of the nation in being taxed into poverty and bankruptcy.  They need to know we support the Governor on this venture and that a vote against him is a vote against the citizens of Texas and they will be the ones finding themselves in the unemployment line in 2010.

Go to http://www.fyi.legis.state.tx.us/mnuAddress.aspx and find out who represents you then call them and let them know where you stand and that if they want to keep their job they will do it the way we the people of Texas tell them to.

Conservatives and Veterans Considered Extremists. by Melissa Pehle-Hill

I look at the title of this article and I wonder how far things have gone when our own Department of Homeland Security would issue a report to all law enforcement agencies calling conservatives and veterans "extremists" and threats to national security just because we disagree with her and Obama on the issues.

Since when did it become a crime to disagree with your President? It certainly wasn’t the case over the last 8 years or we wouldn’t have had to listen to the constant attacks on President Bush.

So, what makes Napolitano think that ostracizing such a large part of Americans is going to help this administration? Do you think their plan is to make it illegal to disagree with the usurper presently holding the office of the President? Something tells me that won’t work because they have obviously forgotten one thing the rest of us haven’t—the United States of America is a nation comprised of people who are willing to fight for freedom! And the best part is that in this case we can win the fight without firing a shot. All we have to do is exercise our right to vote and replace them—then we have won.

Our Patriot's Pipeline Show on Friday April 24th

This Fiday night we will be talking with Ralph Benko during the 2nd segment from 11 until midnight eastern. Ralph is the author of "The Websters' Dictionary". Download your free copy today. http://www.thewebstersdictionary.com/

The Websters' Dictionary shows you how the big success stories in Web advocacy -- groups like MoveOn.org and Heritage.org, starting from very little achieved such massive success. And how you can, too.

This book lays it out from the basic to the sophisticated:

How to get a domain name (and what domain name to pick).

How to create a great website ... or select someone to do it for you.

What kind of site will let you use the power of Web 2.0 at the lowest possible cost.

What style gives you impact? What content works?

How much should you be prepared to spend?

What kind of team you need?

Best practices. Briefly, clearly, picturesquely and accurately stated.

This is the dawning of the Age of the Internet. Be part of it. Become a Webster -- an activist, an operative, or a wonk who uses the Web to transform the world.

BIO

Ralph Benko combines the best qualities of geek (fascination with technology, reads Wired Magazine) and wonk (immersion in the policy/advocacy process, reads Politico) with the ability to help normal people harness both. He is a principal of Capital City Partners, LLC of Washington DC, a respected public affairs firm. Benko founded the Prosperity Caucus gathering of supply-side and free-market economists; served on detail as a minor official in the White House under President Reagan; and is a populist conservative Republican (although some of his best friends are liberal Democrats). He speaks frequently on highly effective Web design, development, and management practices.

Because of his long fascination with all things Internet he is popularly known as "the Webster."

Join us as we talk about how to harness the power of the Internet.

Melissa Pehle-Hill Tea Party Speech Transcript

Transcript of Melissa Pehle-Hill's speech from the Tea Party in Tyler Texas.

First let me say I’m thrilled to see all of you here and I want to thank you for coming. It does my heart good to see people out here readying for the fight to regain our country.

So, how do you like the tour of Europe that Barack Obama went on? It looked like he was still campaigning, didn’t it? And that brings two questions to my mind—what is he campaigning for and why are we footing the bill? I ask these questions with the full realization that all Presidents visit foreign dignitaries after taking office, but in this case it is different. After all, all previous Presidents upon arriving in Normandy visited the graves of our fallen soldiers and he didn’t and none of them before were going around apologizing for the behavior of America, saying we are arrogant and that we don’t acknowledge the leadership role of Europe enough. Can you imagine the outrage from the Mass Media if President Bush had uttered those words in his sleep, let alone on foreign soil? Or President Clinton for that matter—considering they would actually likely know if he said it in his sleep.

And, I just have to add this before going back to talking about the misuse of our tax dollars—what do you think about our President bowing to the King of Saudi Arabia?

Are You Prepared?

Canada has started a new push to have her citizens prepare 72 hour kits.  The question is: Why isn't the United States pushing the same thing?  With everything that is going on regarding the Economy, Terrorism, and Natural Disasters, we would thing our government would be pushing for her citizens to be prepared for any emergency.  Somehow, this has slipped their mind.

Take a few minutes and think about what you would do in the event of an emergency.  Do you have everything you will need to support your family for the first 72 hours in an emergency situation?  If your answer is no, you might want to look into taking an active step to fix the problem.  Visit http://www.melissapehle.com/emergency to find out more.

What Rights Will Be Left? by Melissa Pehle-Hill

I keep hearing about the different attacks on our rights being perpetuated by the Obama Administration.  And the rights he seems set on stripping from us are the very ones that our Founding Fathers believed to be of utmost importance, evidenced by their placement as the First and Second Amendments.

Did not the First Amendment give us the right to speak our minds and the right to gather together to share ideas?  Does not the First Amendment protect your right to worship and the time and place of your choosing, or not if you prefer?  Doesn’t the First Amendment even guarantee the right of a free press as well?  I should think the media would cherish this Amendment first and foremost—at least if they like to speak other than that which is approved by the government.  What do they really think the Fairness Doctrine is about?  The government wanting to restrict speech that they disagree with is what the Obama Administration considers to be fair.  But to who is it fair?  Why should anyone consider a one sided argument fair?  My dad always told me not to make a decision with only one side of the story—so why would they expect the entire American populace to do exactly that?  Should my dad be in Washington as an advisor since none of their parents must have taught them this fundamental principle?  In the words of President Harry Truman, “Once a government is committed to the principle of silencing the voice of opposition, it has only one way to go, and that is down the path of increasingly repressive measures, until it becomes a source of terror to all its citizens and creates a country where everyone lives in fear.”

And then there’s the Second Amendment!  The right to keep and bear arms which springs from a very basic right to protect ourselves and our families.  Why would Obama’s administration want to attack our right to protect our families?  Thomas Jefferson said, “The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.”  Is that possibly what Obama and his cronies fear?  That the Americans they plan to break down as they destroy the economy for us and our children and take our rights one by one might rise up in protest?  If not, then what do they fear?

Don’t let them tell you they fear the high rate of crime here, or in Mexico, because with that answer they are either insulting our intelligence by thinking we would believe that off-the-mark response, or they truly are stupid enough to believe it themselves.  And if the latter is the correct one then we are in more trouble than any of us are prepared for!

Be Silent No More. by Melissa Pehle-Hill

Are you like me in getting a chill down your spine every time you hear a news report open with “Barack Obama will…” or “Barack Obama hopes to…” or any number of other openings but you get the point?  Does your stomach drop and your heart stop when you hear the question, “Did you hear what Barack Obama did today?” for fear of what that something might be?

If you are, fear not, you are not alone.  There are many of us out here in this great nation who not only fear what Barack Obama will do, we dread the moment that he does and we fight the only way we can—through activism—in an attempt to stop at least some of the degradations this man plans to visit on America.  Some may call our attempts nothing more than dreaming and say that it is a vain attempt—and it may well be.  But when I meet my maker I would rather know that I tried, that I stood up for what is right, and honored the rights our Creator gave to us.  I would rather not be the one who looks Him in the eye and says “I was too busy to work for others” or “I wasn’t interested”.

So, I labor and I pray.  And I invite you to join me in the fight to save this country and the freedoms we enjoy for our children and our children’s grandchildren.

FOCA BO by Melissa Pehle-Hill

Now that we have a new President, and one that is well-known for supporting abortion, we truly need to keep watch on the happenings in Washington and remember what it come Election Day of 2010 and 2012.  That is, of course, if you are concerned with either the moral issues of killing unborn children or the reality that if abortion continues at this rate, eventually this country’s very existence could be in danger.  Like Russia, we could end up with problems of reduced population.  They had more people dying than being born and they got to the point they had enough concern that they were actually offering I believe around $5,000 to families if they had a second or third child.  Is that what we want for America?
Barack Obama, before winning the election, told Planned Parenthood, “The first thing I'd do as President is sign the Freedom of Choice Act.  That's the first thing I'd do.”  Now, what is the Freedom of Choice Act and how does it work?  Is this something we should be concerned about?
Well, the FOCA is a federal bill that would basically remove ALL restrictions from abortions in America.  Not only would it bequeath unlimited taxpayer-funded abortions on demand, it also includes these other changes:
*End parental notification or consent for abortions performed on minors
*Mandate taxpayer funding of abortion
*Allow abortions in military hospitals
*End waiting periods before having an abortion
*Overturn laws requiring informed consent prior to abortion
*Deny doctors the right to refuse to perform abortion for religious reasons
*Force religious affiliated hospitals and facilities to perform abortions
*Overturn many abortion clinic health regulations
*Overturn laws prohibiting abortion after the viability of the child
*Legalize partial-birth abortion

Stimulus of Socialism? by Melissa Pehle-Hill

I keep hearing everyone complaining about the TARP bailout and the planned stimulus package put out by Obama.  What I’m not hearing enough is people bluntly saying that if any Representative or Senator who votes for both of these (or in my opinion even one of them), and against the millions of people who contacted them through email, phone, fax, and letters, need to be sent to the unemployment lines at our first opportunity.

Yes, that, my friends, is what needs to happen.  Nothing less will suffice as these people took an unprecedented step toward socialism against the express wishes of their constituents.  In so doing, they, in essence, told the people who put them in office that they will neither abide by the Constitution they swore to uphold nor by the wishes of those who voted for them.  Instead they are doing exactly what they want without a single thought to how it will affect the people of this generation and many generations to come.

Is that what we sent them to Washington to do?  Did we send them up there to represent us or did we send them there to do whatever they wanted like a bunch of college kids on their first year away from home?  I don’t think they care, but we must, and we have to hold them accountable for an action such as this.

The Time Is Now! by Melissa Pehle-Hill

I constantly hear people say they had to hold their nose and vote for McCain or that they couldn’t make themselves vote for McCain because he was too liberal for them resulting in Obama in the White House.  The fault for this lies in the hands of the hierarchy of the Republican Party but also in the hands of the people.
Part of the problem is that the Republican Party lets anyone run under their banner who wishes to—they don’t have to stand with the Platform—which the Party needs to change.  But, another part of the problem is that many people either didn’t vote in the primary or they followed the advice of Rush Limbaugh and crossed over.  Myself I can’t understand anyone choosing to do either.  I say that because to me voting in the primary means I get my say in who represents the Republican Party in the general election.  The other reason I can’t see it is that to me this is not a game we are out to win—this is all about who represents us in Washington and to me that determination should be made based on each individual candidate’s ability to do the job the way we the people want then to.
So, now that the election is behind us and we have the most liberal/socialist leaning President we could have found, we must learn from this.  Over the next four years those of us who wish to save this country from irreparable damage but work constantly to keep up with what is going on in Washington.  We must keep calling, emailing, and writing letters to our elected representatives and tell them what we want them to do, and then in 2010 we must hold them accountable by sending them home if they don’t do the job we want them to do.

America Land of the Free? by Melissa Pehle-Hill

I find myself seriously concerned about the future state of this country and the few freedoms we have left being taken from us.  This is not an empty concern as many of you might think and let me tell you why.
Have you ever thought about the fact that so much of what many Americans consider to be rights either require a license or a permit or some other form of government involvement?  For example, if you want to hunt you must have a hunting license, to fish you need a license, to drive or even to get married you need a license.  You need a permit to meet with a group of others in a public place, and often the permit has to be approved.  If it is your right to hunt or fish to feed your family why does the government feel the need to make you buy a license?  If it is your right to drive a car or get married why do you have to pay the government for the privilege?  How does the government being this deeply involved in your life make you free?  It doesn’t as is obvious when you realize that the word license means “formal permission from a governmental or other constituted authority to do something”.  Therefore, the government has given itself the power to deny you the right to hunt, fish, marry, and drive along with so many other things which are your rights endowed by your Creator and by the Constitution.

Our Second Amendment Rights Under Attack Again by Melissa Pehle-Hill

Here I sit addressing the actions of the liberals in Washington and their desire to remove our right to bear arms and protect ourselves and our families.  I knew, on Election Night, that this was coming but I have to say I’m surprised it came so soon.  I honestly thought they would wait six months or so and try to slip it past us.
I also received an email yesterday with a link to watch a U-Tube video about protests going on in the UK.  Guess what the video said!  They said that first they let the government take their guns because they thought it might actually reduce crime, and they soon realized that it had the opposite effect as the law-abiding citizens had turned over their guns and the criminals then knew they were unarmed.  That wasn’t what the protests were about—they were about the government’s desire to end fox hunting.

I don’t know about you, but I’m not happy with the way things went during this election.  And on that I’m not just referring to the results but also many of candidates running for the various offices.

Here, on the county level, it was better.  Most of those running for office were no more or less than they portrayed themselves to be.  A few of them you could just meet and know, without a doubt in your mind, how much this county and the people within it mean to them—men like Ray Nutt and Scott McKee who will, I honestly believe, as Sheriff and District Attorney, do much to make this county a safer place to live.

However on the state and national level, many of the candidates running were less than satisfactory in my opinion.  We don’t need any more politicians who are working for the special interest groups, the big corporations, the drug companies, foreign oil (or any foreign interests for that matter), or for anyone other than we, the people.  We need more people like Congressman Louie Gohmert, Congressman Leo Berman, Congressman Duncan Hunter, and our own Congressman Jeb Hensarling.  We don’t need anymore candidates to seek to be elected out of their desire for the perks and power, with the only campaign promises they intend to fulfill being the ones made behind closed doors to their biggest supporters and special interest groups.

What we need to do is demand that our elected officials do the job we hired them to do.  We need to demand that the candidates chosen to run are worthy of the position they are seeking rather than simply continuing to hold our nose while we vote.

Our votes are more valuable than that.  Our votes are what decide the kind of country we leave our children and grandchildren.  And I, for one, want the best for my children and grandchildren as I’m sure you do as well.

How do we do this?  We watch what our elected officials are doing, closely.  We let them know what we want them to do.  We seek out people of honor and integrity to run for office and help them get in office.  Then we pray: for without God we have no hope of maintaining the United States as the greatest nation in the world, nor Texas as the greatest state in the nation.

Healthcare and Election 08 MP Hill

I have looked at the choices of the Health Care plans suggested by Senator McCain and Senator Obama.  At the end of looking into them I am struck by one significant difference which I find alarming and unacceptable—“government sponsored” being part of Obama’s plan.

Who really thinks that anything run by the government is better for the people?  I don’t and no one else should either.  In the words of President Reagan, “Man is not free unless government is limited. There’s a clear cause and effect here that is as neat and predictable as a law of physics: As government expands, liberty contracts.”  He also said, “Government does not solve problems; it subsidizes them.”

You see, Obama says that his health care plan is not mandatory but if you had been listening to him during the debates you would know that is temporary.  He wants it to eventually cover everyone and for that to work he would have to make it mandatory.  He also wants employers to offer insurance to their employees.  If he makes that mandatory how many people do you think employers will have to terminate in order to cover the additional cost of insurance?  And what if you are one of them?

Granted McCain’s plan may not be perfect but is there is no perfect way to solve a problem that is so far out of control, but more government intervention and higher taxes certainly won’t do any good for anyone, especially when it results in more people out of work and on government entitlement programs.

I'm Proud to be a Texas, Are You? MP Hill

With so much attention presently going to the Presidential race many others have been overlooked, by the media, and in the minds of some Americans as well, I fear.  However, we can’t afford to overlook these other races for they could well help to determine the fate of this country, regardless of who is elected President.

One of the races I’m speaking of is the race for our US Senator.  Presently that job is held by John Cornyn and his opponent is Rick Noriega.

First let me say that I know for sure that John Cornyn is proud of the great state that he represents, as are so very many of his constituents.  However, Rick Noriega, while at the Democratic National Convention in Denver said, “Being a Texan today means always having to say you’re sorry.”  I don’t know about you but that offends me immensely.  I get it that he was at the Democratic Convention where hating President Bush is the thing to do, but does that give him just cause to say something such as that.  Do you as a Texan feel the need to apologize for being from Texas, whether you agree or don’t agree with President Bush?  I know I don’t and I don’t agree with much of what President Bush has, and is doing here lately.  That doesn’t detract from my love for my state or my pride in being a Texan. If Rick Noriega feels compelled to apologize for being from Texas do you honestly think he would stand up and fight for the interests of Americans while in Washington or would he more likely just go along with the rest of those in his party, sympathetically (to them) agreeing with whatever drivel they come up with.

You know what I mean by drivel, right?  Things like amnesty for illegals, which John Cornyn adamantly opposes.  Or how about partial birth abortion which most Americans consider an atrocity except those Democrats who hold office in Washington—the very ones Noriega was apologizing to. Once again John Cornyn stood firmly against this barbaric practice.  Then there is the issue of higher taxes, which Senator Cornyn opposes, but the Democrats hold dear.  Do you really want your Senator voting to raise your taxes?

N.O.W Does Not Speak For Me. MP Hill

I read today that a supposed women’s group called NOW (National Organization for Women) says they are endorsing Obama/Biden because of Biden’s long-time support for women’s rights.  They cited his pro-choice stance among others.  I’ll admit that he did a great thing with the bill Violence Against Women Act but what about him voting against making it a crime for someone to harm or kill an unborn baby while committing a crime against the mother?  Doesn’t a woman have the right to have her unborn baby protected by the law when she wants her baby?  Or is that just an aspect they wish to overlook?

And, while we are at it, let’s look at the real abortion part of this issue.  It’s not really that he supports choice, it’s that he supports abortion that they like, although Biden draws the line at supporting Partial Birth Abortions like his running mate, he does support abortions.  However he also voted against a parent’s right to be notified if their minor child wants an abortion and he voted against making it a crime for someone to take their minor child across state lines to obtain an abortion where parental notification isn’t required.  However, am I missing something on this?  Isn’t it considered kidnapping if someone takes your minor child across state lines without parental consent?  Unless, I guess, if it is solely for the purpose of killing their unborn baby then it isn’t kidnapping, just aiding a minor in avoiding following the laws of the state where they live.

Of course, although Biden is all for abortion he voted against a bill to ban human cloning.  What is that all about?  How many people in this country are even okay with cloning animals?  And yet he thinks it’s perfectly fine to clone humans.  Something to think about I’d say.

What Is Really Wrong With This Whole Mess? MP Hill

While watching the four o’clock news on CBS today a story caught my attention.  And it is one that we, as a people need to work to address.

I watched as they interviewed some evacuees from Beaumont who are staying in a hotel in Dallas and had just found out that the hotel they are staying in are not working with FEMA.  In other words, the people are responsible for their own bill and will have to wait for FEMA to reimburse them later on.  I understand their anxiety and concern over the devastation that might be waiting for them back at home and over the cost incurred by their having to flee home.  Whether FEMA will reimburse the money or not is likely another consideration on their minds, and yet another understandable one considering we kept hearing how long people had to wait to get help after Hurricane Kattrina due to the debt level of our government.  My sympathy and prayers go to these people along with the hopes that these people actually have something left when they return home.

This country right now is going further and further into debt, and I’m not referring to the debt incurred by the war to protect our citizens.  I’m talking about our government spending billions of our tax dollars taking care of illegal aliens against the wishes of the American people.  The problem those evacuees are facing with FEMA isn’t just a matter of time, it is also a matter of FEMA having the money for them—the American citizens, not the illegals who will also probably be helped by FEMA rather than simply turned over to ICE for deportation.

Is anyone else as sick and tired of the illegals acting as though Texas is still part of Mexico, flying their flags, celebrating Mexican Independence, and going to our government for handouts that we pay for while they continue to show disdain for our laws?  If so, I hope you’ll join me in writing your state and federal legislatures and tell them we have had enough.  Tell them it is time to send them back where they came from and stop rewarding them with our money or we will start rewarding those same legislatures with jobs.

No Dollars For Davis. MP Hiill

I read in today’s paper, Thursday, Sept. 4, that the County Commissioners voted to grant Clint Davis the additional $25,000 pay he wanted. Although two of our commissioners voted no the measure passed. No offense to Clint Davis, but why should he get more money than James Owen after Mr. Owen has served in that position for two terms? Does he have years of experience we don’t know about? After all, he has been a civil attorney for years but up to now hasn’t worked on criminal cases. So, in essence he will be getting on the job training, at a higher rate of pay than our experienced County Attorney who is leaving office. Granted, at this time Clint Davis is working in the District Attorney’s Office though I have not heard of him trying any cases in court. So, at present he is already getting at least some level of training at the taxpayer’s expense. However, I honestly don’t think that six months of training working for a District Attorney which the people of this county loudly said wasn’t doing her job is sufficient to merit him getting $25,000 more than our present CA. On another related matter, I read a complaint from a woman saying that it was wrong for our future District Attorney to ask for an investigator and a warrant officer to be transferred from the Sheriff’s Office to the District Attorney’s office. That will raise his budget while at the same time removing those two expenses from the Sheriff’s budget, and it will aid Scott McKee in better prosecuting cases in this county. As it is in essence a transfer from one department to another it doesn’t raise expenses for the taxpayer like the higher wages for Clint Davis is going to do. So, the outrage should be over the additional county funds being paid to an untried County Attorney rather than to a man who is already planning his strategy to clean up this county and remove the criminals from our streets.

Where Will They Draw The Line. MP Hill

This morning I received a call from a friend of mine, Vera Wolot, telling me about the attack on Governor Sarah Palin perpetrated by Us Magazine and an idea she had that we should go out and buy the copies up and then return them later on, keeping these personal attacks from being spread throughout our community.  After speaking with her in length, we both agreed that this is something we should do all across this great nation.
It isn’t like we would be stopping people from being able to find out what is going on in this country.  After all, what is wrong about attempting to protect a young girl from further public embarrassment?  It’s not as though she is getting an abortion in an attempt to hide what she did or escape the consequences of her actions as have many adults, especially in the political spectrum.  It’s not as though the whole country doesn’t already know that Sarah Palin’s 17year old daughter is pregnant and not yet married.  What this edition of US News is, rather, is a left wing attack on a minor and her mother simply because her mother is on the Republican Presidential ticket.

The Best Of What We Are. MP Hill

Not that long ago I wrote that I would love to see a woman in office but she should be the best of what we are.  I also recently wrote that we should search out people in this country to hold office and represent us as a people in public office.  Now, I feel the need to expand on my meaning of these things.
What did I mean by the best of what we are?  I know that isn’t something that is easy to picture in your mind, especially when talking about the majority of politicians who run for office in this day and age.  So, let me explain my meaning when I said that.
By the best of what we are I mean people like the NY Firemen who rushed into the Towers as they were burning and about to collapse in order to save as many lives as they could, and the policemen who rushed in with them.  There are others, too many to mention in such specific fashion but you know who they are.

We The People Need To Choose. MP Hill

I keep hearing people say they are unhappy with the choices we have running for public office this year.  The internet is saturated with members of both parties who are angry with the candidates we have to choose from.  Continually coming in contact with this type of opinions, as well as my own agreement with this position on some levels (more on that in another article) caused me to think about what we, the people, could do to fix it.
Then as I was sitting here it just came to me.  The problem we now have is that the potential candidates are not people who we have sought out to run for office.  We, the people, had no say in the selection process of our candidates—they were ‘vetted’ by the hierarchy of the parties and the members of the media—leaving us feeling unsatisfied deep down.
Of course, you are probably nodding your head in agreement as you already knew that—you might even be wondering why it took me so long to get it, right?

Politics As Usual, No Good For the People. MP Hill

I am so sick of the politics the way they have become.  Now the parties act like this is a long running football game that each is driven to win by having more members than the other side.  Of course, if either side wants to get anything done, a majority is necessary and that is also wrong.

After all, isn’t what’s best for the American people what is best for the American people regardless of who is in power or who proposes the legislation?  Why do they make it such a fight between parties when the issue is really so simple?

I mean, when it comes to legislation to drill within America there should be no dispute as it, without a doubt, serves the interests of the American people so why are the Republicans for it, as the people want, and the Democrats are so dead set against it regardless of the benefit to the American people?  Is it that they really think lower gas prices would be bad for us or do they just stand against it because the Republicans are for it?  When you pull up at the pumps the next time and see the price surpassing $3.00 a gallon, thank the Democrats, led by Nancy Pelosi, for this as her and her cronies are largely responsible for this situation continuing.  Of course, don’t forget that they got the majority given to them in 2006 by claiming they were going to reduce the high prices of gas.
